Thanks to funding from Harnessing Creativity I was able to attend this conference organised by Nimble Spaces. The day was packed to the gills with inspiring and challenging speakers.
Having made my way to Carlow from deepest darkest Leitrim my interest was in the rural vs. urban discussions with Deirdre O’Mahony and Helena Fitzgerald.
But also, the the speakers on collective engagements and actions gave hope and sparked imaginations; an amazing talk from Andrea Philips on the housing crisis and art: Developing Solidarity or Producing Capital Assets was thought provoking and universal.
Davie Philips from Cloughjordan Eco village and Je Hhn from Studio Weave in London provided some reality and positive down to earth practical ideas and thinking.
