The arm that holds up the hanging chair is made from steel, as is the support base that the arm stands on. The steel arm and base are coated with a protective powder that actively prevents rust, thereby allowing the 2020 Hartman Heritage Hanging Chair to be safely kept outside all year round.Upon delivery, the hanging chair and support arm will require some assembly, however, all fittings are supplied and they are quick and easy to put together. Unlike the chair itself, we do not recommend the seat’s Weatherready® light shower resistant cushion be left outside and suggest it is stored indoors over Winter. Although if this cushion is caught in a heavier downpours a microfibre and permeable layering system will allow the water to drain right the way through and eventually drain through the underside, drying in line with local condistions.
